In the recently published U.S. Department of State Visa Bulletin for August 2013, the EB-2 priority dates remained current in respect of all countries other than India and mainland China. The EB-2 priority date advanced significantly from 09/01/04 to 01/01/08 in respect of India, but remained at 08/08/08 in respect of mainland China. Meanwhile, the EB-1, EB-4 and EB-5 numbers continue to remain current for all countries.
In the EB-3 category, the priority dates for professionals and skilled workers advanced from 10/01/06 to 10/22/06 in respect of Philippines, but remained at 01/22/03 in respect of India, and at 01/01/09 in respect of all other countries including China.
In the EB-3 Other Workers category, the priority dates advanced from 10/01/06 to 10/22/06 in respect of Philippines, but remained at 03/22/04 in respect of China, 01/22/03 in respect of India, and 01/01/09 in respect of all other countries.
On the family-based Green Cards front, as predicted by DOS earlier, the F2A Green Card category for Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents has become “Current” in the August 2013 Visa Bulletin.
