H2B Cap Count Update
September 11, 2012
USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the 2nd half of fiscal year 2012 employment and the 1st half of fiscal year 2013 employment. As of September 7, 2012, USCIS has approved approximately, 28,092 H2B beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2012 and 3,251 H2B beneficiaries for the 1st half of FY 2013.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the 2nd half of fiscal year 2012 employment and the 1st half of fiscal year 2013 employment. As of August 31, 2012, USCIS has approved approximately, 28,020 H2B beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2012 and 2,548 H2B beneficiaries for the 1st half of FY 2013.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the 2nd half of fiscal year 2012 employment and the 1st half of fiscal year 2013 employment. As of August 24, 2012, USCIS has approved approximately, 27,867 H2B beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2012 and 1,894 H2B beneficiaries for the 1st half of FY 2013.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals: USCIS Begins Accepting Requests

USCIS has announced that effective August 15, it will begin accepting requests for consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals, where-under certain people who came to the United States as children and meet other key guidelines may request consideration of deferred action. USCIS will review requests and make decisions on a case-by-case basis. Individuals requesting consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals must submit Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization (with accompanying fees); and an I-765WS, Worksheet.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the 2nd half of fiscal year 2012 employment and the 1st half of fiscal year 2013 employment. As of August 3, 2012, USCIS has approved approximately, 27, 232 H2B beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2012 and 550 H2B beneficiaries for the 1st half of FY 2013.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals: USCIS to begin accepting requests on August 15

USCIS has announced that it is finalizing a process by which potentially eligible individuals may request consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals, and it expects to make all forms, instructions, and additional information relevant to the deferred action for childhood arrivals process available on August 15, 2012. USCIS will then immediately begin accepting requests for consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals.
Centralized Filing for Waivers of Inadmissibility: USCIS issues News Alert

In a recently issued notice regarding centralized filing for waivers of inadmissibility, USCIS has stated that since June 4, 2012, individuals outside the U.S. who have been found inadmissible for certain visas by a U.S. consular officer and seek to waive an inadmissibility ground, should no longer apply for a waiver at their foreign location, but should file requests directly to USCIS by mailing the application to a USCIS Lockbox facility in the United States.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the 2nd half of fiscal year 2012 employment and the 1st half of fiscal year 2013 employment. As of July 27, 2012, USCIS has approved approximately, 27, 218 H2B beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2012 and 456 H2B beneficiaries for the 1st half of FY 2013.
New USCIS online resource to provide immigration information in up to 22 languages

USCIS has announced the launching of a new feature on its website its online Multilingual Resource Center that provides a central location for USCIS resources in a variety of languages. USCIS has announced that materials are available in up to 22 languages, covering information on USCIS application processes as well as FAQs.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the 2nd half of fiscal year 2012 employment and the 1st half of fiscal year 2013 employment. As of July 15, 2012, USCIS has approved approximately, 26,837H2B beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2012 and 431 H2B beneficiaries for the 1st half of FY 2013.
