USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the fiscal year 2014 employment. As of June 16, 2014, USCIS has approved approximately 23,569 beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2014.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the fiscal year 2014 employment. As of June 11, 2014, USCIS has approved approximately 23,489 beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2014.
USCIS Issues New Policy on Form I-693
June 5, 2014
USCIS has announced that starting June 1, 2014, it will limit the validity period for all Forms I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, to one year from the date of submission to USCIS. Applicants must submit Form I-693 to USCIS within one year of the immigration medical examination.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the fiscal year 2014 employment. As of May 2, 2014, USCIS has approved approximately 20,042 beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2014.
TPS Re-registration Period Extended for Haitian Nationals

USCIS has announced that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is extending the re-registration deadline from May 2, 2014 to July 22, 2014 for Haitian nationals who have already been granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and who seek to maintain that status for an additional 18 months. To re-register, TPS beneficiaries must submit Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status, and Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the fiscal year 2014 employment. As of April 25, 2014, USCIS has approved approximately 18,805 beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2014.

USCIS has updated the count of H2B visa petitions received and counted towards the H2B cap for the fiscal year 2014 employment. As of April 18, 2014, USCIS has approved approximately 17,969 beneficiaries for the 2nd half of FY 2014.
USCIS Reminder: May 2nd Deadline for Haitian TPS Re-registration
April 19, 2014
USCIS has issued a reminder to eligible nationals of Haiti, who currently have Temporary Protected Status (TPS), to re-register for TPS by May 2, 2014. Applicants who re-register during the registration period and request employment authorization will receive a new Employment Authorization Document (EAD) with an expiration date of January 22, 2016. Failure to re-register by the May 2nd deadline may result in the loss of TPS and work authorization.
H1B Cap 2015 Update: Premium Processing to Begin April 28

USCIS has announced that it will begin premium processing for H-1B petitions subject to the FY 2015 cap on April 28, 2014. This includes premium processing of petitions seeking an exemption for individuals with a U.S. masterís degree or higher. H-1B Petitioners may also upgrade a pending H-1B cap 2015 petition to premium processing once USCIS issues a receipt notice.
