Default Birth Certificate VS NO Entry Certificate

Hi

I am filling forms for my mother. She was born in 1947 in Lahore, UNDIVIDED INDIA.
I have contatced the registrar of Births of Local muncipality of Lahore. They have mentioned me that they dont have any record prior to 1955. As a result they have issued me a NO ENTRY CERTIFICATE stating that there is no entry of my mother births, having date of birth = 03-21-1947, in their records.

Now i want to know that will this NO ENTRY CERTIFICATE will work instead of birth certifcate?

ANy comments? experince?

Thanx in advance

Look at the I-130 instructions. There is a section discussing what you can do and what substitutes may be acceptable if a document is unavailable. I think that would apply in your case.

Yes, you will need the No Entry Certificate in addition to secondary evidence which includes: Affidavits, School, Church or Census Records.
