The B-1 Visa is available to foreign nationals who would like to enter the U.S. temporarily for business activities. These activities can include, but are not limited to, attending business meetings or seminars and conferences, meeting with prospective or current clients, exploring opportunities for setting up a business or participating in training.
The B-2 Visa is available to foreign nationals who would like to enter the U.S. temporarily for tourism or pleasure. Activities can include, but are limited to, being a tourist, visiting friends and/or relatives, obtaining medical care, and participating in amateur musical or sports events (where there is no compensation).
