EAD Renewal: USCIS To Continue Processing Applications Despite ASC Closures

USCIS has announced that while the Application Support Centers (ASCs) have been temporarily closed to the public in response to COVID-19, it will continue to process EAD renewals. USCIS will reuse previously submitted biometrics in order to process valid employment authorization extension requests.

EAD renewal applicants who had an appointment scheduled with an ASC on or after the March 18, or has filed a Form I-765 extension, will have their application processed using previously submitted biometrics.

USCIS has also announced that this provision will remain in effect until ASCs are open for appointments to the public.
