USCIS Resumes H-1B Premium Processing For FY 2019 H-1B Cap Petitions

USCIS has resumed premium processing for all FY 2019 H-1B cap petitions. Petitioners with a pending H-1B cap petition may now submit the H-1B Premium Processing request with USCIS. In cases where an RFE is pending, petitioners must include their RFE Response, if not already submitted, with the Premium Processing request.

Under the USCIS Premium Processing Service, USCIS guarantees a response within 15 days of the receipt of the Premium Processing request. Petitioners desirous of upgrading their pending petitions to Premium Processing must submit a Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service, along with the prescribed fees. The current fee for Form I-129 Premium Processing is $1,440.

The previously announced temporary suspension of USCIS Premium Processing for all other categories of H-1B petitions, including H-1B amendment petitions and H-1B Change of Employer petitions, remains in effect. We at VisaPro are closely monitoring the developments related to Premium Processing for H-1B petitions, and will keep our readers informed as more information becomes available in this matter
