USCIS has conducted a third H-1B lottery for FY 2022!
USCIS has sent notifications to certain employers and their immigration attorneys informing them that certain H-1B cap registrations submitted by them in March 2021 have been selected for submission in a recently conducted selection of reserve registrations. The third H-1B lottery was held on November 19, 2021. Registration Selection notices for these newly selected reserve registrations mention that H-1B cap petitions for these newly-selected registrations must be filed between 11/22/2021 and 02/23/2022.
USCIS has updated the myUSCIS accounts of petitioners whose registrations have been selected in the lottery. Employers who have submitted an H-1B cap registration in March 2021 may login to their USCIS online account and check the status of their H-1B registrations for new selections. For the H-1B cap registrations newly selected now, employers must make sure to print the selection notice, and follow the instructions given in the selection notice for submitting the FY 2022 H-1B cap petition, including instructions regarding the place of filing and filing deadline.
