The FY 2023 H1B Cap filing season will begin on March 1, 2022!
USCIS has announced that the initial registration period for FY 2023 H1B Cap will open at 12 pm Eastern Time on March 1, 2022, and will be open till 12 pm Eastern Time on March 18, 2022.
Employers seeking to file H1B Cap petitions against the FY 2023 H1B Cap must complete the H1B Cap registration process electronically using a myUSCIS online account during this initial registration period. While prospective petitioners will be able to create new accounts beginning at noon Eastern on February 21, 2022, they will have to wait until March 1 to be able to enter beneficiary information and submit the registration.
The H1B Cap registration process would require submission of basic information about the prospective petitioner and each H1B beneficiary. A $10 non-refundable H1B registration fee will be required to be paid for each beneficiary. Employers or their representatives will be able to prepare, edit, and store draft registrations prior to final payment and submission of each registration. They will also be able to submit registrations for multiple beneficiaries in a single online session.
If USCIS receives enough registrations by March 18, it will run the H1B lottery on properly submitted electronic registrations and only petitioners of selected registrations will be eligible to file the H1B cap petitions. USCIS will send selection notifications via users’ myUSCIS online accounts by March 31.
