Green Card - Former Employees of the Panama Canal Zone is Suitable For:

• Foreign nationals employed for at least one year either by the Panama Canal Company or the Canal Zone government on or before October 1, 1979, and were residents of the Canal Zone on April 1, 1979
  
  
• Panama nationals who were employed by the U.S. government in the Canal Zone for at least 15 years prior to October 1, 1979 and retired honorably from such service
  
  
• Employees of the Panama Canal Company or Canal Zone Government on April 1, 1979 and have performed faithful service for 5 years or more, and their personal safety or the personal safety of their spouse or children is in danger because of the special nature of their employment as a direct result of the Panama Canal Treaty of 1977
  
  
• Immediate family members of former employees of the Panama Canal Zone or Canal Zone Government
