Department of State Releases Visa Bulletin for November 2010

The Department of State (DOS) has released the Visa Bulletin for November 2010. In November, priority date cut-offs for most backlogged employment-based preference categories will advance by one to two weeks.

The priority date cut-offs for employment-based immigrant categories are as follows:

Employment-Based Preference Categories Cut-off Dates
EB-1
Current for all countries.
EB-2

India: May 8, 2006.
China: June 1, 2006.
All other countries: Current for all countries except India and China.

EB-3 Professionals and Skilled Workers

India: January 22, 2002.
China: November 22, 2003.
Mexico: May 1, 2001.
All other countries: January 22, 2005.

EB-3 Other Workers

India: January 22, 2002.
Mexico: May 1, 2001.
All other countries: April 01, 2003.

EB-4

Current for all countries.

EB-5

Current for all countries.

The priority date cut-offs for family-based immigrant categories are as follows:

Family-Based Preference Categories Cut-off Dates
Family First Preference - A

India: February 15, 2006.
China: February 15, 2006.
Mexico: December 22, 1992.
Phillipines: April 01, 1997.
All other countries: February 15, 2006.

Family Second Preference - A

India: June 01, 2010.
China: June 01, 2010.
Mexico: March 01, 2010.
Phillipines: June 01, 2010.
All other countries: June 01, 2010.

Family Second Preference - B

India: June 01, 2005.
China: June 01, 2005.
Mexico: June 22, 1992.
Phillipines: September 01, 2002.
All other countries: June 01, 2005.

Family Third Preference

India: June 01, 2002.
China: June 01, 2002.
Mexico: October 22, 1992.
Phillipines: March 01, 1995.
All other countries: June 01, 2002.

Family Fourth Preference

India: January 01, 2002.
China: January 01, 2002.
Mexico: December 15, 1995.
Phillipines: April 01, 1991.
All other countries: January 01, 2002.
